If you occupy only one business property and it has a rateable value below £6000, you are eligible for Small Business Rate Relief. This means you will pay nothing up to 31 March 2013. If you are in this situation and you are still paying rates, contact your local authority to claim your relief.

If again you have just one property and the rateable value is between £6000 and £12000 you will still get relief on a sliding scale of 100% down to 0%.

If you have more than one business property, you may still get relief if the other properties each have a rateable value of less than £2600. In this case the rateable values of all the properties are added together to work out what discount you get.

Worth checking.
